These are Old Post

These are OLD Post from our previous Blog to update everyone.

We have been here for over a month now.............July 11, 2007

Well its been a month or so of living in the what some tend to say "the big city". Here is a update on us and the continuous blessings from God!
I am now working in the Housing Office as a secretary ; I kept telling myself I will not work on campus! Well as always God said "we'll see about that." So I go for an interview and fall in love with the job; got a call back that day and 1 week later I started working on campus! Can I just say how nice it is for lunch to drive 3 min, be home truly rest and then go back to work at 2:00 and have only 3 hours left! Wow; so nice. There are many great benefits to this job a few financial benefits: Jason and I both go to school for FREE. I will hopefully be starting a Masters in Lay Ministry in the Spring; the biggest benefit is working with other Christian Believers, being a "ministers wife" its nice to meet other women who are going through the same thing, such a blessing!! Jason can come and visit me whenever he wants, he can come and sit down by my desk and talk to me! The past jobs I've had that is a NO, to me this is so nice after not seeing him basically for 2-3 years now. I am absolutely loving my job its a whole new aspect to education, student housing is fun and fulfilling, helping people who are scared and excited all at the same time but know they are called to SWBTS and are following God to I get to help them in the beginning of their journey. So neat..
Jason has gotten a job on campus as well; he's working for the Carpentary department, hes learning new stuff everyday and enjoying what he is doing. We get to have lunch together every Tues/Thurs, its been soooo nice! But he is putting in bathrooms, pulling up floors, and anything else that hes told to do! haha But hes doing great at it and I am so PROUD of him! He did some carpentary here this past weekend with his Pa; they put up a storage building! I will post pics soon! It is super nice!
We will begin classes on August 23, I will do a class called "Wife of the equippping Minister" and Jason will be taking 10 hours, pretty busy 10 hours! So I think thats a pretty good update on us, I could write forever with more but this is quite a bit to read! We are still searching for a church home, please pray that we follow God on this and not what WE want but what HE wants, its hard to not compare other church's with CBC; we miss it lots! WE know God has another Church for us while we are going to seminary!Thank you for all the prayers and please continue praying for us as we remain Following God as he leads!!

Blessings,

Update on the Big Move--JUNE 9, 2007

Well to let those of you who want to know we made it to the big city of Fort Worth :). We moved in a week ago and as I am sitting here as Jason is working on the last room to get together, his office :). I am surrounded by books and books and books... God truly blessed us with an adorable little house and amazing neighbors already. I have a great kitchen and soon (b/c my parents love me) a portable dishwasher! :) Our bedroom looks great, for the first time we have matching furniture, and I finally got to use my new comforter set, sheets, and valances, I will post pics soon.
The job hunt is going slow but we are looking, Jason goes in for an interview for a part-time job on campus position that would be great for him, please pray, the interview is Tuesday at 9. I have an interview for a full time job on campus as well, this Thursday in the Housing office. Please pray for me on this decision, I do not know where God is leading me, there are some other positions I have applied for off-campus that pay more and have great benefits. I am unsure of what I am to do, b/c we can only be unemployed for so long. Well that is the update on us, Jasons Mom and Grandma Polly are on their way to come see the house and take us out to dinner. To everyone whos been praying for us. Thank You! To my Sunday School Class I already Miss all of you, I was telling Jason its wierd not getting material ready for tomorrow. I hope you have an awesome summer! Well I guess thats it!

Love "Ya'll" :),

That's My King

That's My King

Jason and I realized that we have 11 Sundays left here in Jacksonville, only 11 more weeks. Kinda scary. I am hoping to graduate in May, I have two correspondence courses that I hope to finish, if not I will graduate in August and that will okay too! Jason is working for CBC still as a media coordinator and I am still and Assistant Advisor. I love my job and hate to leave it, I would love to continue advising but due to lack of experience and a Masters degree I do not know if that is in my future. We are praying about me working at SWBTS, so if you dont mind please pray for me with that decision. We now know where we are moving, we got a house on campus, with a WASHER AND DRYER, yes thats right after 3 years of lugging clothes from the laundry mat , to up the hill, to Jasons family (known as Trotterville) I will now have a washer and dryer where I can do laundry anytime I want. I am unsure if our Dishwaser (Model #: Tonya Curry) will get to retire or still have a few more years. :) But I realized something the other day if having no washer/dryer or dishwasher is "hard or poverty" (why poverty I have no ida) to some, then we are majorly blesssed in the USA.

Moving to a new area is scary, exciting and thrilling all in one. Following Gods plan for you is so fulfilling, but at times you just want to make a personal requuest to God that says "can I please have the blueprints too?" All I know that in my short 24 (almost 25... :) ) years of Life that when I follow God life is so amazing/blessed/awesome and just WOW, that I have no idea why anyone would never want to follow God, and why did I ever think I didnt need Him daily in my life! I mean who wouldn't' want to follow the God who created us and loves us more than we can imagine. Who has such an amazing plan for you that if you just follow and listen (and not talk) that life is so much more fulfilling. Those that do not have God in their life, I honestly do not know how they make it. Without God, we definitely would not have the marriage we have right now, the comfort of knowing we are going to be okay, and defeating just the daily struggles and battles of life.

Above is a video that maybe some of you have seen, we ask you to watch it Christian or not, we just want you to know who our God is.

I pray that when in this video when asked "Do you know him?" you can say yes or have the courage to say no... "but I want to." Remember- Whenever we feel God is no longer there, its not because God left us, its because we left God.

Blessings,

Curry's

P.S. If you say "but I want to" please ask us , we'd love to tell you how to know Him.
